The scholarship award selection is made based upon leadership, scholarship, and financial need. This year, eight applications were submitted and evaluated on these criteria.  The committee selected McKenzie based upon her scholastic record, her leadership, her participation in school activities, and general financial need.

McKenzie is a 4.0 grade point student. McKenzie participated in tennis, volleyball, orchestra, choir, and other clubs. McKenzie was a leader in school activities and her church.

McKenzie is a deserving and recipient of this scholarship award. She exemplifies the pride, tradition, and courage that are part of the Tumwater High School legacy.
